The whale briefly swallowed Adrián and his yellow kayak before releasing him.Adrián told The Associated Press, “I thought I was dead.” “I believed it had swallowed me, that it had eaten me.” He talked about the ”terror” of those brief moments and clarified that his true anxiety didn’t start until he surfaced again, when he was afraid that his father would be harmed by the enormous beast or that he would drown in the icy waters.Adrián made it to his father’s kayak after a few seconds in the water and received prompt assistance. Both made it back to shore without any injuries despite the fright.
